Soke’s seminar – First impressions
Keywords: Had fun, Learnt a lot, Made some new friends, Meet
old friends, Supported my organisation, Strengthened relationship with SCI international.
I find that this was really a good seminar; there was positive
energy both from the donors and the receivers, thus making the occasion
special. From an organisation point of view it was well organised, everyone knew
what it had to be done and was done well and in the required time frames. A big well done goes to the Kancho’s team, the
organisers who put a lot of time to organise, contact, make the facility up to
needs and support in the activities that where required. All in all this shows
that we are a stable, well organised, mature organisation having the required knowledge
to do things the right way.
Support was great, quite a good number turned up for the grading
and for the sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Big thanks goes to all students who
attended the seminar and especially to all SCI instructors for being there and getting
students. Appreciation goes especially to all those instructors that although
they had family commitments they turned up and supported the event at the best
they could. Thanks guy’s this is what it makes us special, keep it up!
With regards to the training level - I think it was superb
both from Soke and his team and from the students. In many occasions I heard
the UK Masters/ instructors complimenting students for their level and
technique. Well done again Students and Maltese Kancho /Instructors who have built
up such a level of proficiency.
From a technical point of view we learnt new stuff but above
all we learnt new ways on how to look and apply things that we already knew. In
my opinion this is one factor that each martial artist must strive to follow,
that of studying and internalising what s/he know, by truly understanding (Feeling)
how techniques are done in the right way.
Final note - thanks
for being hereJ
